That’s it! RvBTO 2009 has finally wrapped up and everyone who attended is either at an after-party or on their way home. On behalf of the RvBTO staff and volunteers, we thank you all so much for coming out and hope you all get home safely. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to next year.

If anyone has any photos, videos, stories or comments they’d like to share with us, please e-mail us at info@rvbto.ca. We plan to post highlights of the event over the next week or two and you’re input would be appreciated!

With RvBTO only a week away, we're racing to get as much information to you as possible.

Admission Fee The admission fee for Saturday afternoon at the Primrose Hotel is $15 at the door. All proceeds will go towards the next RvBTO.

Event Schedule The event schedule has been refined. Check out the individual pages for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for more information.

Entertainment We've just signed The Irish Car Bombs, a local 8-piece ensemble, to play Saturday night at the Imperial Pub.

New Survival Guide and Travel Tips: For those of you who are new to RvBTO, we've added an RvBTO Survival Guide to help you get through the weekend. We've also updated the Travel Tips page to help anyone travelling into Toronto.

We are holding a raffle and all proceeds will go to Child's Play. You will have a chance to buy tickets on Friday and Saturday. The draw will be held on Saturday during our main event at the Primrose Hotel. Great prizes to be won! Help us prove that games save lives! More information at www.childsplaycharity.org.

When RvBTO Staff aren't out there saving lives, mastering industry or just generally conquering the work world, we like to curl up with a good book and a nice cup of — WHAT THE HELL AM I TALKIN' ABOUT?! No, when we're not working, we're out there on the front lines fighting the good fight, trying to make the best event we can for you guys!

And with that said, here are the latest announcements from your friends at RvBTO:

Venues: All venues for RvBTO 2009 have been booked! Visit the Venues & Directions section for more information.

Schedule: The Event Schedule has been expanded to include times for when RvBTO will be at each venue. Check it out or risk showing up late to the party!

Videos: Visit our new Official Videos section where we've uploaded the latest promo videos for RvBTO BYOB and a documentary series from RvBTO 2007. We'll be adding more official content to this section over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

RvBTO BYOB: Contest rules for RvBTO BYOB have been updated. If a band member sings while playing an instrument, they can play the instrument (guitar or drums) on the medium or easy difficulty level. And people say we're too tough on you guys :)

Announcement: Rock Band Competition!

It's a tale as old as time. Boy hears classic rock. Boy wants to play classic rock. Boy has five thumbs on left hand. Boy gives up. Then boy is introduced to Rock Band and toy instruments. Boy realizes life not over. Chance to be a star at hand. Story same for girl.

This is your chance all you RvB'ers to shine like the fake rock stars you are! Announcing RvBTO BYOB (Bring Your Own Band), a battle royale supreme for Rock Band supremacy.

"But you did Rock Band last year!" Yes, we did and you loved it, but now we're taking it further. We don't want you to simply stare at the screen, wiggle the wammy bar and hope you got in the 90% range. We want you to get dressed up, grab a few props and play to win!

RvBTO BYOB is about flare, charisma and style. You have to play like a real band to win. Think you've got it in you? If so, check out the RvBTO BYOB section for more details.

Hurry and sign-up now. There's only room for 18 bands. All applications must be received by 11:59 PM EST on July 3, 2009.
